This survey asks audiences what type of music they like; what they look for in magazines; their age etc.
By asking the ages of the people who completed the survey, I can find out what demographic particularly enjoys reading music magazines and what music they enjoy. This can help me target my magazine at an audience for a specific genre; I can also include advertisements, if necessary, about the target audience's interests through the use of the survey results.
With this survey, I can also find out which gender prefer music magazines, if there is an opportunity for this, which will allow me to be able to place generic conventions on the magazine for a specific gender.
Survey Results Analysis

This shows which music magazines are read by the sample so I can gain insight into what genre they prefer; what magazine layout they prefer and what sort of features to include.
This shows the types of features and information the sample like to see and read in the music magazines they look at; this can help me by suggesting what kinds of things to put into the magazine, i.e. in the cover lines, for a specific demographic, for example, which can be found out in the 'age' graph.

The majority of the sample find out about new music through the radio; I can use this information for my magazine for advertising ideas, for example, and that the information within my magazine should be kept up-to-date with radio music and music news.
This graph shows that over half of the sample population have been to over 5 gigs, which again allows me to reinforce the idea of having a heavy basis on live music in my magazine.
This graph simply shows whether the sample population would be interested in gig/festival news; the majority are and so I can use this information to put these kinds of features within my magazine. The demographics of my target audience suggest that based on their age, they are interested in live music news as live music is seen as a social event and influences people socially by teenagers.
